Home-grown, here in the harbour city, Tradition is known by their fans for their tremendous joie-de-vivre, and for being one of the only local acts to perform primarily in French.
 
 Daniel Ouellette, Jean-Marc Cormier, Jeannot Hachey, Gilles Melanson et France Maillet have spent the last several years building their fan-base both here and abroad, traveling throughout New Brunswick, and even representing the province's French music scene on stage in France. Even without an album, the group managed to make the hit list on Saint John's French language radio station CHQC FM, and have begun to make a name for themselves on the New Brunswick music scene.
 
 Combining a heaping helping of rock, cajun and blues, Tradition moves easily through a catalog of genres and influences, and always with an obvious passion and pleasure for playing before a live audience. Besides the popular French and English covers the band plays in concert, Tradition also writes and performs their own originals in French, many of which can be found on their album.
